Case Study 1 – The Candidates Perspective

Delegate International exhibited at a Multilingual Recruitment Fair in London. One of 6 attended in Europe that year (and subsequent years) the purpose of the visit was to meet face to face with multilingual candidates interested in work in the UK and rest of Europe. We wanted to start relationships with candidates that would breed a positive, committed culture from them by proving our genuine candidate focus.

The exhibition had thousands in attendance at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel and we met personally with several hundred of them, taking time to talk to them about their preferences and potential vacancies current and in the future. Several months later when a new position suitable to this candidates experience became available, we contacted Roberta. She remembered us instantly and a strong rapport that benefited Roberta and the client helped the process along the way.

Here’s what Roberta has to say…..

“I have been recruited for a short term contract, and for my now, permanent position through Delegate International Recruitment and I have received an excellent service. I met Anne Murphy, the company’s director, last year in June at a Job fair in London. After a few months, when a position became available for me, I was contacted and invited to an interview in more detail via Skype video call. I was provided with a full brief on the company I had applied for, and all material and questions to prepare in order to succeed. We communicated very often over Skype, email and telephone and the day of my interview I felt well prepared and able to reply to the employer’s questions in a convincing and professional way.
Over the Christmas holiday period I was kept me updated and a face-to- face interview was arranged in Northern Ireland. Once arrived in Belfast Anne personally picked me up and took me to the hotel and on the following day I was again picked up and driven to my interview. After a long interview I was offered the position. Delegate then helped me to negotiate a package which included some assistance with relocation. Even after placement, the team at Delegate continued to assist me during my relocation, helping me with domestic utilities and introducing me to social networks.

Ireland has been for me a big change, in particular considering the fact that I am Italian, I spent about 10 years in Germany and I have no network or relatives in Ireland. Delegate helped me socially, introducing me to the panel of a Steering Group of the Queen’s University to enhance my business network as well as my social network.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Delegate to international professionals anywhere in the world. They make geographical distances feel very small, and show such a personal commitment to candidates that makes them feel comfortable and confident.”
